Flygarvänner!
Bifogar nedan en länk, (längst ner, om ni har Linkedin, men överst en sammanfattning för de som inte har det) med en diskussion/presentation av hur starka de Nordiska flygvapnen är idag.

So the Nordics with a population of 28 million now fields the largest air force on the European continent. Also known as Joint Nordic Air Command (JNAC)
In total more than 230 modern combat aircrafts - The portfolio includes F-35, JAS 39 Gripen and F/18 (To be replaced by F/35).
Here’s why it matters:
1. Unity in Defence
Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark are working more closely than ever on air operations. From joint exercises to shared planning and command structures, the goal is clear: Nordic air forces fighting as one.
2. Enhanced Operational Readiness
Through NAPC, the Nordic nations are pushing for “day-zero readiness” — meaning being prepared at all times for complex, coordinated operations. This includes shared situational awareness, interoperable infrastructure, and joint training.
3. Strategic Regional Significance
With evolving security dynamics — especially in the High North and the Baltic Sea — having a unified air command enhances deterrence, resilience, and response capabilities. It also strengthens how the Nordics contribute within NATO’s wider framework.
